Royal Enfield has just celebrated 120 years of life and celebrates in style with the arrival of its new Royal Enfield Hunter 350, a motorcycle that will delight the most demanding people.

It is true that the British firm suffered a serious crisis from which it has managed to emerge, resuscitated by new investors from India. The story is as follows: after a few decades being 100% British, after World War II, production was relocated to India, where they began to manufacture models of the British brand with its license. But it is since 1955, when the ownership of Royal Enfield becomes Indian. For some time the vision of the Indian house has been linked to a somewhat antiquated image. But for several years now it has been betting on a renewed design to restore the glory of this manufacturer. It now offers a range of motorcycles with a variety of displacement and various segments, from optimal vehicles for the road, for the city to other special for the most extreme terrains.

And above all the new launch of the Royal Enfield Hunter 350, which is presented with two variants and six different decorations. Royal Enfield has now created a range of models in the 350 cc displacement. First came the Classic, then the Meteor, and now it is the turn of the Hunter, the latest addition to the extensive catalog of Royal Enfield.

What’s new on the Royal Enfield Hunter 350

The motorcycle company has managed to combine in the Hunter some avant-garde and eminently urban features, all in a compact motorcycle with a short wheelbase. The result is an agile and comfortable handling in the city, at the same time that has a powerful engine to run in the dense traffic of the cities. In that sense, the Hunter has a low seat height, at 790 mm, which serves to provide confidence to anyone when moving through the urban fabrics, linked to its low weight. However, Royal Enfield considers the Hunter as a ‘roadster’, that is, a vehicle designed to ride and enjoy on the road. We could say that by performance, equipment and design, the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 is a motorcycle to enjoy the back roads.

Engine power

The Royal Enfield Hunter 350 has a 349 cc single-cylinder J-series engine, which is air-oil cooled and develops 20.5 hp of power at 6,100 rpm and 27 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. This model comes with electronic fuel injection and five-speed gearbox. Another new feature is the balancer shaft, designed to reduce the effect of vibrations,

The chassis, which has been designed in collaboration with Harris Performance, has a compact geometry, which gives it an agile steering, perfect for urban environments, but also outside them, thanks to its cycle part, ideal for secondary roads.
This model comes with 17-inch alloy wheels on both wheels, with 110/70 at the front and 140/70 at the rear.

Safety and equipment

In terms of safety, the brakes incorporate a single 300 mm diameter front disc and a 270 mm diameter rear disc with dual-channel ABS. In terms of equipment, it comes standard with an LED taillight, digital-analog instrument panel with odometer with partial, gear indicator, fuel bar graph with low level warning, clock and service reminder, all in a single package of controls.

Also of note, all variations of the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 come with handlebar controls, switches and a handy USB charging port. Also of note is compatibility with Royal Enfield’s Tripper TBT navigation system, which will be available as an original accessory on these models.

Cutting-edge design

The new Royal Enfield Hunter 350 is presented with six decorations, with soft color tones, three for the tank and optional graphics in a first version, plus another selection of three designs in the fuel tank in another variant, with more dreamlike graphics, a novelty is this manufacturer that has always opted for the more classic variants.
