The Chinese manufacturer has developed a motorcycle that is not intended simply to be a road-focused touring adventure bike, but rather to offer genuine off-road capabilities for riding on trails and more demanding terrain.
A 946.2 cc Engine Producing 111 HP
One of the main highlights of the CFMOTO 1000MT-X is its 946.2 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine, equipped with DOHC technology and eight valves.
Maximum power reaches 83 kW, equivalent to approximately 111 HP, at 8,500 rpm, while peak torque stands at 105 Nm at 6,250 rpm. These figures place the 1000MT-X firmly within the high-performance large adventure motorcycle category.
CFMOTO has also paid particular attention to the engine’s power delivery. Electronic management via the Bosch MSE 9.0 system is designed to provide a progressive and controllable response, something that becomes especially important when the motorcycle leaves the tarmac. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and a wet multi-plate clutch featuring an assist and slipper function.

The chosen tyres are Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR, while the suspension system is supplied by KYB. At the front, the motorcycle is equipped with a fully adjustable 48 mm upside-down fork, complemented at the rear by an adjustable shock absorber. For riders looking for even greater off-road capability, CFMOTO offers a higher-seat version that increases suspension travel to 230 mm and ground clearance to 240 mm, compared with the 200 mm ground clearance of the standard configuration.
The package is completed by a chromium-molybdenum steel frame and an overall architecture designed to strike a balance between strength, stability and agility.
Brembo Brakes and Bosch Electronics
The premium component package continues with a braking system supplied by Brembo. At the front, the 1000MT-X features two 320 mm discs with four-piston radial-mount calipers, while the rear uses a 260 mm disc.
Electronics also play a central role in the motorcycle’s overall package. The 1000MT-X incorporates Bosch ABS and traction-control systems, with functions adapted to the motorcycle’s adventure-oriented character. Official information also highlights the presence of different riding modes and systems designed to adapt the motorcycle’s response to different surfaces.

Technology for Long-Distance Touring
The CFMOTO 1000MT-X also places a strong emphasis on technology and equipment. One of its most striking features is the 8-inch TFT display, which brings much of the motorcycle’s information together in a single interface.
Its equipment list includes features such as cruise control, a bi-directional quickshifter, tyre-pressure monitoring, heated grips and seat, an adjustable windscreen and connectivity, along with various other solutions designed to make long-distance journeys more comfortable.
The fuel tank has a capacity of 22.5 litres, an especially useful figure for a motorcycle designed to cover long distances. CFMOTO states that the motorcycle can achieve a range of more than 450 kilometres, depending on riding conditions.

Visually, the 1000MT-X follows the design language that has characterised the latest generations of the MT family: a robust appearance, a raised front end, engine protection, handguards and bodywork designed to emphasise its adventure-focused character.
One of the most interesting aspects of its design is the relatively narrow upper section of the fuel tank and the riding position, which facilitates standing on the footpegs. This is particularly important when riding off-road, where the rider needs to move around on the motorcycle and control its movements using their legs and body.
With a 1,525 mm wheelbase, a 22.5-litre fuel tank and a 21/18-inch wheel configuration, the 1000MT-X aims to balance stability on the road with adaptability when the tarmac ends.
